Backup Unit Notes
- This backup device will provide peace of mind to any business owner.
- It sits next to your current server and does a local back up every 15 units.
- It does not slow down server.
- Even if you have a backup device like a tape drive or other external drive and your server crashes – the data has to be restored on a server. Therefore, you are down for a few days. A new server has to be purchased, installed, then the data has to be copied back up to the new server.
- You can lose a whole days work since the last back up was done.
- What happens if you have a fire, flood or your equipment was stolen? You lose everything! Every business should have a remote backup in a different state.
- Security: Encryption 256 AES – Gold Standard of Encryption (what the Government uses).
- Tape Backup devices are not secure.
- Virtual Server: "Stand by server". If your server crashes the backup device becomes your working server and keeps backing up the information. It will actually become your server if your server crashes.
